Reader Question hello, I have a friend with a 2003 Cadillac Escalade esv we are trying to find out the correct oil charge for the whole system as well as just the compressor. It has rear ac as well. All I know is PAG 46 is the oil type it should use.

Hi there

My shop manual says this:

Total oil charge with rear air 11 oz

Compressor replacement charge 2.0 oz

Also says this

“a replacement DENSO compressor unit will come prepacked with 8 oz of PAG oil”
