1996 Honda Prelude – Cruise Control Components Not Working
Reader Question: I have a 1996 Honda Prelude, 2.3L engine, and I just had the timing belt replaced, but now my cruise control is not working.
It was working before I took it to the shop, I am wondering if it is just a coincidence, or if the timing belt had something to do with it.
Thanks!
Hey there,
There is always a possibility of accidentally unplugging or breaking connectors such as for the cruise control.
I would take it back to the shop and have them double check their work and the cruise control components to make sure they were not affected during the timing belt installation.
I really do not think the two items are related, but it never hurts to ask and the shop SHOULD double check the cruise components for free anyway.
Blessings,
Austin Davis
