2000 Plymouth Voyager A/C Defroster Not Working
We have a 2000 Plymouth Voyager SE with about 100,000 miles and running good. I need some help with this. When I switch the heating controls from floor to defrost to vent, there is no different sound coming from the unit. Most controls there will be a 2-second silent and then you will hear the cabin/air sound because you switched.

My 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix has a problem. When we last were in the car the AC blower wasn't working on speed 5, then all of a sudden it started working on 5 and won't shut off (even when the car is turned off). Any suggestions? Can this be fixed without to a garage or car electrical specialist? I am looking for a quick fix if possible.

1992 Jeep Wrangler Burning Smell Coming From A/C Vents
I am the original owner of a 1992 Jeep Wrangler Renegade. It had a 4.0 L engine, automatic transmission with 170,000 mi. After I bought the Jeep I had the dealership install A/C. I have never had a problem with the A/C with the exception of the past 2 to 3 weeks. Approx. 2 to 3 weeks ago, I would get a slight smell like something electrical was burning when I would run the A/C at high speed. This smell would go away when I brought the A/C back down to low. Yesterday, I turned the A/C on and the burning smell was excessive so I shut the A/C unit off. When I attempted to turn it back on, the A/C would not work. What part do you think most likely burned out- switch, blower fan or some other part?

PLymouth Voyager Heater Is Not Hot - Heater Core is Not Leaking?
I have a 1989 Plymouth Voyager SE that is having issues with heat. The radiator works fine and the thermostat appears to be working as well since all of the hoses are hot. The heater core is not leaking so we are assuming that it is ok. We have lukewarm heat but it is not quite enough to keep the windows clear of ice. The air conditioning motor keeps coming on and my father in-law is thinking that it shouldn't be but since we just got the vehicle we are not sure.

2004 Chevy Impala A/C Heater Blower Wont Come on for 5-10 Minutes of Driving
I have a 2004 impala base model with no frills. The problem is my blower for heat or a/c won't come on until I've been driving for a while, 5-10 minutes or so. A mechanic has looked at it and said it may be a module of some kind but would not perform repairs without knowing for sure. I absolutely hate taking my car to a dealer because it seems they charge about 5 times as much as anywhere else for the repair. Is this a type of repair that can be done myself without tearing too much apart or do I need to bite the bullet and take it to a dealer??

1988 Dodge Dakota Heater Not Hot
I have a 1988 Dodge Dakota and I cannot get the heater to work. No hot air. The fan does work but seems to change speed when I slide the heat control lever from hot to cold. I have air flow when I switch to defrost/panel/floor, just no heat. The air conditioner does not blow cold air all of a sudden either. I figured it needed to be recharged tho. The water lines are clear and I have checked all the connections. I have flushed the heater core. I removed the thermostat and checked that. The radiator is also new. I just had the transmission rebuilt and had some wiring concerns with that. I'm just throwing in things that I know have been completed. Can you suggest something I have overlooked?

2000 Buick Regal A/C Blower Does Not Blow Sometimes
I have a 2000 Buick Regal with 113,000 miles on it. Sometimes when I start the engine (with the heater/ac switch set to the on position) the heat/ac will not blow. If I turn off the engine and restart it (5 or 6 times) the heat / air might blow. Sometimes when the heat/ac does not blow, I have hit a hard bump while driving and the heat/ac will suddenly come on. I believe I have some type of electrical problem that is tied in to the ignition switch. Are these the symptoms that the blower motor resister needs replacing? Have you heard about other GM cars having this problem?
