1999 Ford Explorer Automatic Transmission Slips
1999 Ford Explorer 6 cylinder 5R55E automatic transmission slipping in between 2nd gear and 3rd gear but shifts fine when I shift manually on the column and shifts fine in between other gears and once in 3rd gear or any other gear doesn't slip at all also does it randomly not all the time thank you RICHARD

2002 Buick Century Transmission Shifts Hard Sometimes
My 2002 Buick Century has 95,000 miles on it. Normally, the transmission shifts very smoothly. On drives of more than 100 miles it occasionally shifts roughly in all gears. You can feel the "clunk" when it shifts under these conditions.

I have a 2000 GMC safari 2wd. It is a bit slow to engage into drive or reverse, from any other gear (including P or neutral) cold or hot. Otherwise functions normally. Is my transmission gonna blow up?

Plymouth Voyager Heater Core Leaks and Transmission Problems
I took my 1999 Plymouth Voyager to Autozone, for one of their free diagnostics. I took it because on occasion the front window fogs up in the heat of the day. Also the service engine light is coming on,and there is smoke under hood, there is a wet spot inside on driver side. Guy at Autozone said my problem is a transmission shifter solenoid. My dad thinks it is Heater core. What do you think? What auto repair manual would you recommend to get to help in replacing both these items? My dad is a mechanic, but he is more familiar with older cars and big 18wheelrs. So he would need some guidance in placing these for me.

My Automatic Transmission Makes a Noise Now Won't Pull
I have a 2000 Lincoln Continental with 105,000 miles. I've always "babied" it. Over the last few weeks, there was a soft "whirring" sound as I would accelerate over 2000 rpm no big deal, no change in performance. But then in a road trip to Chicago from St. Louis, the transmission seemed to be hunting for the right gear at speeds of 40-50 mph.

Transmission Slow to Shift Into Reverse 2002 Saturn SL2
I just recently bought a 2002 Saturn SL2 with 65k miles and automatic transmission. While test driving it, I changed gears numerous times to see if it slammed into any gears or hesitated. It never did it. I drove the car to work for 2 days (32 miles each way) and now it's started randomly hesitating before going into reverse. I've tried it from Park to Reverse, Neutral to Reverse, Drive to Reverse, with the Emergency Brake up in Park to Reverse and it really does it like 1 out of every 3 or 4 times. I've replaced the air filter and windshield wipers because they were disgusting and I planned on doing an oil change and checking the spark plugs/wires this weekend because I don't know the last time they were done but like most people, I'm getting worried that I might have a transmission problem.

1997 VW Jetta Transmission Won't Come Out Of Park
It is a 1997 VW Jetta Gt, 4 cyl. and the starter went bad. Having replaced starters on other vehicles over the years I thought this would be a fairly simple task so my son and I decided we could fix it. My first mistake was removing the old starter without realizing it was mounted to the front motor mount bracket.

Should I Flush The Automatic Transmission Fluid On My Ford Taurus
I have a Ford Taurus SE and have 98,000 miles. I just recently got a oil changed at Ford dealership. Their advice was to flush out the transmission fluid and power steering and brake fluids. I check all the fluid and it is dirty.

1995 Nissan 240 SX Clutch Or Transmission Problem
Once again I turn to you because you always help me find the problem when I have something wrong. The other night I was driving down the highway and for some reason I decided to down shift.I don't even know why I did it but now that I think about it, it was a dumb move. As I shifted down and let the clutch out it just went straight to the floor and I could hear a noise coming from the transmission area. The noise sounds like pieces of metal or something being tossed around.

2003 Ford Taurus - Automatic Transmission Flush
I have a 2003 Ford Taurus with 63,000 miles on it. It never had a problem. The shifter cable went and is being replaced. The dealership also recommended a transmission flush, which they did.
