Reader Question What should we do if we accidentally put water into the power steering fluid container by mistake instead of the window washer container on a Renault Clio.


Hello there

You will probably be ok, if you can get a turkey baster from your kitchen and suction out some of the power steering fluid then refill with new steering fluid you should be fine.

I would recheck the power steering fluid in a week or so and make sure there is no foam building up inside the reservoir and that the power steering fluid has not changed colors. The system only holds a small amount, so I can not imagine you put in that much washer fluid..correct?
