Hey Terje, thanks for your help! I have a 1985 Chevy S-10 4WD with the 2.8l V-6. I have R&R’d the Cyl. Heads and found a fitting on the back of the intake manifold that was not I.D.’d during the tear down. I was very careful to I.d and match every vacuum and electrical connection so as not to have any question during the buildup. So this unidentified vacuum fitting (NPTF) is behind the carburetor and under the E.G.R. valve… I truly do not recall using a wrench to disconnect anything back here. What is this to?

    • Austin says:

If you don’t see any “extra” vacuum lines laying around it might be nothing. It’s not uncommon to have a few ports that are not used on some models. Put it back together and start it up and see if there is vacuum at that port or not
