The new R-class from Mercedes-Benz is an effort to combine the popular features of an SUV with the look and luxury that has made Mercedes famous. As you can see from these pictures taken at the Houston Auto Show, this car has the distinctive appearance of a Mercedes. At first glance, it is quite similar to their M Class SUV.

The R-class has some unique features particularily a sunroof that spans three fourths of the roof to provide a panoramic view of your travels. Mercedes touts this as a car with the durablity of an SUV, the performance of their sedans, and every luxury you can imagine. The real focus of this car is luxury, including heated seats, mulitscreen DVD, dual zone climate control, and six individually contoured seats.



Features on the 2006 Mercedes R350 Grand Sports Tourer:

- 268 hp 3.5 liter DOHC V-6
- 7 speed automatic transmission w/touch shift buttons
- 4- wheel drive
- power front seats
- wood interior trim
- 8 - speaker audio w/ CD and MP3 input
