Reader Question
how do I flush the radiator on my 1994 Ford Taurus. and how much antifreeze do I replace?
Thanks!

Hey there

Easiest way is to remove the lower radiator hose from the engine side and use the hose as a funnel into a drain pan. You MIGHT also have a radiator drain cock at the bottom of the radiator you can use to flush, but sometimes they break off when you try to loosen them….then a new radiator is in order. Depending on the climate in your area a general rule of thumb is 50/50 water to antifreeze. Your system probably holds about 2 gallons.

Blessings,

Austin Davis
