2004 Chevrolet Cavalier

Reader Question: I got a question for you. I have a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier that one of its fog lights looks like it is flooded with water. What I cannot figure out, is how to fix it.

Can you help me out?

Thanks.

Karmen

Hey Karmen,

You will probably have to replace it, as there is a leak or hole in the glass of plastic somewhere.

If you can see the hole, you might be able to remove the light and drain out the water then fill the hole up with a clear epoxy sealer. If that water comes in contact with the bulb while the bulb is on, it will burn it out.

Since fog lights are low to the road surface, they frequently get damaged by rocks and other road debris.

Blessings,
Austin Davis
